the evening of the first day on board (a full day of driving) the ship suddenly changed its direction of travel. A few hours later we found out why. There was a medical emergency on board (something serious). Instead of continuing to travel to the Cayman Islands, now we headed to the Mexican mainland. The secondary target was now called Costa Maya (Mexico). A bit sad, we quickly booked an excursion to a beach club for the shore on the next Day.
At least the weather was much warmer than it was in Miami.
went with a bus then about 50 minutes through the Pampas to the Jungle Beach Club.
There were then many chairs under palm trees, a great sandy beach, free drinks at the bar and also canoes and snorkelling equipment for hire. All in all, we have spent some nice hours.
The children even got Buddelzeug to play in the sand.

Back at the port we strolled through the souvenir shops, past the huge pool area where you could even swim with dolphins.
