The ride through the forests of New England, but we ran really a Moose (moose) on the way (road). Unfortunately, we did not soon gave the rifle for a camera and a second encounter no more.
Boston also showed its best weather page. Somehow, the city reminded us a bit of Chicago, but much historical. Since we were not sure how the weather would develop, we started on the first day, a whale watching tour. That is, you go out about an hour on the open sea and then suddenly surrounded by several huge whales and some of these can then sit and watch the swim and play. A breathtaking and unique experience!

The children sit comfortably on the floor. We did not want to go below deck, because we had to miss the fear / the whales.
Somewhere in here they are sometimes. Great, we thought. Since we were probably out of luck. This is looking just like the needle in a haystack, only water everywhere.
And then suddenly we saw dorsal fins. We could not believe it.
It really was a whale!

And closer!
Almost ran to touch, so close they came in part! Fortunately, our boat was big enough to have no fear, because these animals are not really small.

still fascinated by the pilgrimage, then we went to explore the city.
Boston, in addition to the typical skyscraper still quite a lot of historical buildings (just stand next to each other).
There are many churches and old assembly building to see.
In the city park (similar to Central Park in New York - but not quite as large), we took a short rest. It was very hot that day.
Again, there are in the middle of a lake with a bridge.

then we are still walking through Beacon Hill. This is now a very expensive art district and was formerly (19th century) the residential area of the Boston Brahmin.
The quarter ends at the banks of Charles River.
And always there was this cute backyards.
Beacon Hill is located on a hill (as the name suggests so already).
